Netflix has announced that Chiwetel Ejiofor (Doctor Strange), Harry Melling (The Ballad of Buster Scruggs) and Veronica Ngo (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) have joined director Gina Prince-Bythewood’s (Beyond The Lights) adaptation of Greg Rucka and Leandro Fernandez’s comic book series The Old Guard.
The Old Guard tells the story of a small covert group of immortal mercenaries who must fight to keep their team together when they discover the existence of a new immortal and their extraordinary abilities are exposed.
Ejiofor, Melling and Ngo join the previously announced Charlize Theron (Atomic Blonde), KiKi Layne (If Beale Street Could Talk), Marwan Kenzari (Aladdin), Matthias Schoenaerts (Red Sparrow) and Luca Marinelli (Don’t be Bad) in the film, which is currently shooting in the UK.
