Colman Domingo is wrongfully imprisoned in Sing Sing trailer

March 9, 2024 by Amie Cranswick

Coinciding with its US premiere at SXSW, A24 has released a trailer for director Greg Kwedar’s acclaimed drama Sing Sing.

Inspired by the true story of the Rehabilitation Through the Arts program, the film stars Colman Domingo as a man wrongly incarcerated at Sing Sing maximum security prison, who finds purpose, alongside other prisoners, when they join a theatre group and attempt to stage their own production. Watch the trailer below…

Divine G (Colman Domingo), imprisoned at Sing Sing for a crime he didn’t commit, finds purpose by acting in a theatre group alongside other incarcerated men, including a wary newcomer (Clarence Maclin), in this stirring true story of resilience, humanity, and the transformative power of art, starring an unforgettable ensemble cast of formerly incarcerated actors.

Featuring in the cast of Sing Sing are Colman Domingo, Clarence Maclin, Sean San Jose, and Paul Raci.

Sing Sing arrives in cinemas this July.
