Although the project has been shrouded in mystery since it was first announced, The Wrap has uncovered some details about Darren Aronofsky’s latest project mother! during CinemaCon in Las Vegas last week, revealing that the Jennifer Lawrence-headlined film is a “psycho-horror”
According to the site, the brief synopsis for the film reads: “A couple’s relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disrupting their tranquil existence.” Meanwhile, Paramount Pictures chief of Domestic Distribution Kyle Davies promised that the horror-thriller will deliver “thrills and chills”.
Aronofsky has assembled a stellar cast for mother!, with Lawrence joined by Javier Bardem, Michelle Pfeiffer, Domhnall Gleeson, Ed Harris and Kristen Wiig. The film is set for release on October 13th.
