Last month we got our first look at Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga in Cooper’s directorial debut A Star Is Born, and now comes word from THR that the duo have been joined in the cast of the musical remake by Dave Chappelle. The comedian will play a Noodles, best friend to Cooper’s character.
Based on the 1937 film, A Star Is Born will see Cooper as Jackson Maine, a country music star who is on the brink of decline when he discovers a talented unknown named Ally (Lady Gaga). As the two begin a passionate love affair, Jack coaxes Ally into the spotlight, catapulting her to stardom. But as Ally’s career quickly eclipses his own, Jack finds it increasingly hard to handle his fading glory.
A Star Is Born is set for release on September 28th 2018.
