DC’s Geoff Johns hints at Legion of Super-Heroes TV appearance

January 15, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Back in September of 2014 there was a rumour that Warner Bros. was eyeing Legion of Super-Heroes for a potential big screen outing in the DC Extended Universe.

The report came from Latino-Review, so it’s not too surprising that there’s been no follow through, but DC Entertainment CCO Geoff Johns has now hinted that the future team of heroes may be set to appear on the small screen.

“You’ll see a hint of the Legion on one of our shows,” said Johns at the Television Critics Association winter press tour. “I love the Legion. They’re underused and hopefully we’ll get them out there soon.”

The obvious choice for a Legion of Super-Heroes appearance would be The CW’s upcoming DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, given the time-travelling angle, but Supergirl is also being mentioned as a possibility due to Superman and Superboy’s connections to the team.
