de Blob 2 coming to Xbox One and PS4 this February

January 9, 2018 by Andrew Newton

After the success of the remastered de Blob 2 on PC last June THQ Nordic is starting off their 2018 by announcing the game’s upcoming release on Xbox One and Playstation 4 on the 27th February.  The remastered de Blob 2 will see our colourful friend return to splash some more colour into an otherwise monochrome city.  To accompany the announcement THQ Nordic have released a new trailer which can be seen below or over on our FM Gaming YouTube channel…

Set a few years after the events of de Blob, Comrade Black has made a return and is causing yet more mayhem by removing all the colour from the streets of Prisma City.  Not only that, he’s also managing to brainwash the citizens into his cult that opposes anything but black and white.  The Colour Underground are doing what they can to stop Comrade Black but there’s only one person that will be capable of stopping him and that’s our hero de Blob.

de Blob 2 features a whole new adventure that will see players travel through 12 new single player levels set in a variety of new environments including icy outposts, tropical bio domes and distant space stations.  There will also be new power ups to discover that will let de Blob jet jump over skyscrapers and turn him into a super Blob.

If you fancy a bit of multiplayer action then de Blob 2 features a 2 player split screen coop mode that allows you and a friend to enjoy painting the town red…. or blue, green, yellow etc.

de Blob 2 will arrive on Xbox One and Playstation 4 on the 27th February.  Hopefully this gem of a game will make an appearance on the Nintendo Switch.
