Deathstroke creator confident in Joe Manganiello’s casting as Slade Wilson

April 11, 2017 by Robert Kojder

For those not sure what to make of Joe Manganiello as Deathstroke in the DC Extended Universe, creator of the character Marv Wolfman recently met with the True Blood star and came away with some very positive remarks.

“After a great lunch with Joe Manganiello, I feel more confident than ever that we got both the Slade Wilson the movies need and the Deathstroke great movies deserve,” said Wolfman.

There is no word yet on whether or not Deathstroke will still play a role in The Batman, given that the movie is rumoured to be undergoing a page one rewrite following Matt Reeves’ appointment as director. Should Manganiello not appear after all, this would be the second time he has missed out on a DC role, having revealed last week that he had to turn down the part of Superman in Man of Steel.

Are you hoping to see Manganiello’s Deathstroke in The Batman, or would you like to see The Dark Knight going up against a different villain? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below…
