March 4, 2016 by Gary Collinson

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Devon Terrell (Codes of Conduct) has signed on to play a young Barack Obama in the upcoming biopic Barry, where he will star alongside Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch).

The site reports that the film will revolve around Obama’s time as a college student and takes place in 1981 as he tries to find his way in New York City. Taylor-Joy will play a fellow student.

Barry has been written by Adam Mansbach, author of Go the Fuck to Sleep and Angry Black White Boy. It is being produced by Black Bear Pictures and Cinetic Media, and is slated to begin production in April.
