Donald Glover reveals reasons behind his Community exit

October 15, 2013 by admin

It was a shock when it was announced that Donald Glover was to appear in just 5 episodes of the upcoming series of Community and it was presumed that it was as a result of prior commitments to his own sitcom. However, Glover has released a series of incredible personal notes that reveal the exact reason for his departure, with a series of “instagrammed” images containing his thoughts and explaining his exit from the show:

Said reasons certainly aren’t what we expected with Glover citing “I’m afraid Dan Harmon hates me”, “I’m afraid I’ll never reach my potential”, and “I’m afraid people think I hate my race/hate women” as specifically shocking reasons for his departure. This is a far more personal and revealing side to the American comedian and rapper and it will a great shame if Community and his career is negatively affected by this. Glover is certainly one of the better things about Community and his relationship/partnership with Danny Pudi is one of the most beloved in current American television. We all hope for the best.
