Hot off the heels of yesterday’s blockbuster announcement of the casting for Suicide Squad, we now have some possible news on plot details for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
According to Badass Digest – who are usually spot on with “scoops” – Doomsday will indeed be in the main villain of the piece. Not only that, but Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor will have a henchman who is called Anatoli Knyazev in the script. Hardcore DC fans will take pride in knowing that this is in fact DC villain KGBeast, who has battled with Batman in the past. It is unlikely that we’ll see KGBeast in action in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but there are always other films…
The website also claims that while Jared Leto’s Joker is unlikely to appear in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, he will be mentioned as Superman is very much aware of his existence.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25th, 2016 with Zack Snyder directing a cast that includes returning Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill (Superman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White) and Harry Lennix (General Swanwick) alongside Ben Affleck (Argo) as Batman, Gal Gadot (Fast & Furious 6) as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones) as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jesse Eisenberg (Now You See Me) as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons (The Borgias) as Alfred Pennyworth and Jena Malone (Sucker Punch), Holly Hunter (The Piano), Callan Mulvey (300: Rise of an Empire), Tao Okamoto (The Wolverine) and Scoot McNairy (Argo) in as-yet-unrevealed roles.
