Dream dangerously with The Sandman Comic-Con trailer

July 24, 2022 by Ricky Church

Netflix has revealed the official trailer for The Sandman adaptation during its panel at the San Diego Comic-Con International. Based off the comic series from Neil Gaiman, the series sees Tom Sturridge as the entity known as Dream, the Master of Dreams. Watch the trailer and check out the poster below…

The series also stars Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones) as Lucifer, Charles Dance (Game of Thrones) as Roderick Burgess, Boyd Holbrook (Narcos) as The Corinthian, Patton Oswalt (Happy!) as the voice of Matthew the Raven, Kirby Howell-Baptiste (The Good Place) as Death, Jenna Coleman (Doctor Who) as Johanna Constantine, Joely Richardson (Nip/Tuck) as Ethel Cripps, Mason Alexander Park (Cowboy Bebop) as Desire and David Thewlis (Harry Potter) as John Dee.

There is another world that waits for all of us when we close our eyes and sleep — a place called the Dreaming, where The Sandman, Master of Dreams (Sturridge), gives shape to all of our deepest fears and fantasies. But when Dream is unexpectedly captured and held prisoner for a century, his absence sets off a series of events that will change both the dreaming and waking worlds forever. To restore order, Dream must journey across different worlds and timelines to mend the mistakes he’s made during his vast existence, revisiting old friends and foes, and meeting new entities — both cosmic and human — along the way.

The Sandman is a Netflix series based on the groundbreaking comic book series created for DC by Neil Gaiman. The series is Executive Produced by Neil Gaiman, Allan Heinberg, & David S. Goyer.
