Earth comes under attack in The Asylum’s Alien Rubicon trailer

August 18, 2024 by Gary Collinson

With 20th Century Studios’ Alien: Romulus delivering the sci-fi scares to dethrone Deadpool & Wolverine at the box office this weekend, it is of course the perfect time for The Asylum to unveil its latest ‘mockbuster’ cash-in, Alien Rubicon.

Directed by Adrian Avila and releasing digitally this coming Friday, the film sees a group of scientists and the military work together to attempt to stop a spacecraft from reaching Washington DC, where it will send a signal to the rest of its species to destroy Earth. Watch the trailer below…

“An alien spacecraft lands in the ocean just off the coast of New York and effortlessly destroys everything in the area without moving. The military investigates as the spacecraft heads inland, destroying everything around it with ease. We figure out that it’s a probe, sent EXPRESSLY to let us throw everything we’ve got at it while it heads directly for Washington D.C. If it reaches our Capital, it’ll destroy it and send a signal to the rest of their species to come down and destroy the rest of the planet. Everything we throw at the ship fails, and it’s up to our scientists and military to figure out how to stop the unstoppable before it’s too late.”

Featuring in the cast of Alien Rubicon are Michael Paré, Preston Geer, Paul Logan, Neeley Dayan, Vinney Pugliese, and Tammy Klein.

Alien Rubicon arrives on digital on August 23rd.
