Ensemble comedy The Brits Are Coming adds more to cast

August 28, 2015 by Scott J. Davis

Indie comedy The Brits Are Coming has swelled its ensemble cast The Wrap reporting that six actors have joined the cast.

Uma Thurman (Pulp Fiction) had already been cast in the film directed by James Oakley, but now she has been joined by a plethora of acting talent. Alice Eve (Star Trek Into Darkness), Sofia Vergara (Modern Family), Tim Roth (The Hateful 8), Stephen Fry (The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies), Maggie Q (Mission: Impossible 3) and Parker Posey (Irrational Man) have all joined the comedy, produced by JC Chandor (A Most Violent Year).

The film follows “an eccentric British con-artist couple, Harriet (Thurman) and Peter Fox (Roth), who flee to Los Angeles to escape paying a large debt to a notorious gangster named Ivanka (Maggie Q) after a failed poker game. In an attempt to raise the money, the couple approach a former associate (Fry), who secretly sells their whereabouts. With Ivanka hot on their trail, the pair scheme to win back the money by executing a jewel heist involving Peter’s ex-wife (Eve) and her new husband.”

“The Brits Are Coming is truly a wildly hysterical ride from start to finish and promises to deliver on the laughs with such a talented and diverse cast on board to inhabit these unconventional characters. I couldn’t be more thrilled with this phenomenal cast in place which elevates the production,” producer Roger Ogden Barnum said about the film.

The Brits Are Coming is due for release in 2016.
