Exclusive Interview – Stratton director Simon West

August 29, 2017 by Freda Cooper

Action director Simon West (Con-Air, The Expendables 2 etc) returns to British soil for his latest, Stratton, which stars Dominic Cooper as Special Boats Service agent John Stratton.

Despite being brought up on James Bond movies, West says John Stratton is a much-needed alternative to Bond and, talking to Flickering Myth’s Freda Cooper, explains more about the Special Boats Service and why he chose Dominic Cooper for his leading man.  His skills behind the wheel of a car and a jet boat were just part of it. Plus there’s also a look ahead to his next project, Tsunami LA.

Stratton is released in UK cinemas on 1st September.
