Exclusive Interview – The Ice Road composer Max Aruj

June 27, 2021 by Gary Collinson

Martin Carr chats with The Ice Road composer Max Aruj…

Max Aruj has been involved in music composition on numerous projects from 12 Strong through to The Crown and His Dark Materials. His list of projects encompasses documentaries, such as Studio 54, as well as more mainstream fare including 6 Underground and Bad Boys for Life.

To say his choices are eclectic never really covers it, as he bounces between genres and tentpole productions whilst stopping off to offer something up for indie classic The Florida Project along the way. He turns his hand to anything and keeps things fresh whilst remaining prolific.

In his latest venture with legendary writer director Jonathan Hensleigh, he embraces the action genre with both hands. This Liam Neeson ice truck adventure entitled The Ice Road threw up more than its fair share of challenges, all of which he addressed recently in conversation with Martin Carr. Check out the interview below and be sure to follow us on YouTube for more exclusive videos…

The Ice Road stars Liam Neeson, Laurence Fishburne, Holt McCallany, Benjamin Walker, Amber Midthunder, Marcus Thomas, Martin Sensmeier, Matt McCoy, and Matt Salinger.
