Exclusive: Kevin Conroy on the Batman stories he’d like to see adapted as animated movies

August 29, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Originally published August 29, 2017. Updated April 16, 2018.

Kevin Conroy has been lending his voice to the Dark Knight for 25 years now, appearing in everything from Batman: The Animated Series to the acclaimed Arkham video games and a host of animated features, including last year’s Batman: The Killing Joke and this month’s Batman and Harley Quinn, which reunites him with Batman: TAS co-creator Bruce Timm.

Flickering Myth’s Amon Warmann was lucky enough to speak to Kevin this past week to discuss Batman and Harley Quinn, during which he revealed that there are still several iconic Batman stories he’d like to tick off his bucket list.

You’ve been voicing the character for so long and we’ve seen him in so many different situations. Is there anything you still want to explore with the character?

There’s stories I still want to do. Hush would be cool. Death in the Family would be cool. I’d love to do some more movies with some of those stories.

Be sure to check back later today for our full interview with Kevin Conroy and let us know which Batman stories you’d like to see adapted as animated movies.

Batman and Harley Quinn is based on an original story by Bruce Timm and sees Kevin Conroy and Loren Lester reprising their Batman: The Animated Series roles as Batman and Nightwing respectively. The Big Bang Theory’s Melissa Rauch lends her voice to Harley Quinn, while the voice cast also includes Paget Brewster as Poison Ivy, John DiMaggio as Swamp Thing, Jevin Michael Richardson as Jason Woodrue and Eric Bauza, Rob Paulsen, Mindy Sterling, Robin Atkin Downes and Trevor Devall.

Batman and Harley Quinn is out now on Digital, Blu-ray and DVD.
