Famke Janssen joins Scott Speer’s Endless

December 1, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Following on from last week’s casting of Alexandra Shipp (X-Men: Apocalypse), Nicholas Hamilton (It) and DeRon Horton (Dear White People), Deadline now brings word that former X-Men star Famke Janssen has also signed on for a role in Scott Speer’s (Midnight Sun) new film Endless.

Scripted by Rohit Kumar (13 Reasons Why), Endless is a romantic drama said to be similar in tone to the 1998 Robin Williams film What Dreams May Come, the film “follows madly-in-love 19-year-olds Chris (Hamilton) and Riley (Shipp) who are separated when a fatal accident leaves Chris stranded in limbo between life and death. In agony, Chris watches Riley grieve until they find a way to connect and share exhilarating, deeply emotional moments that transcend life and death. A story of love and loss, Chris and Riley must ultimately accept the hardest lesson of all – letting go.”

Janssen is set to play the single working-class mother of Chris, and joins a cast that also includes Ian Tracey (Man of Steel), Patrick Gilmore (Travelers), Zoe Belkin (The Latest Buzz), Eddie Ramos (Incorporated), Catherine Haggquist (Fifty Shades Freed), BJ Harrison (Tooth Fairy) and Barbara Meier (The Aspern Papers).

Production on Endless is underway now in British Columbia ahead of an expected 2019 release.
