Faran Tahir reprising Iron Man role in Marvel’s Vision series

January 18, 2025 by Gary Collinson

James Spader’s Ultron won’t be the only villain making their return to the MCU in Marvel Studios’ long-planned Vision series, as Deadline has revealed that Iron Man actor Faran Tahir will be reprising his role as Raza, the leader of the Ten Rings terrorist cell responsible for capturing Tony Stark and setting him on his journey to becoming the Armored Avenger.

A spin-off from WandaVision, the Vision series (which may or may not be going by the title Vision Quest) is being pitched as the final chapter in a trilogy after last year’s Agatha All Along, will see Paul Bettany returning as the Vision, with Spader and Tahir also starring alongside Todd Stashwick (Star Trek: Picard) in an as-yet-unrevealed role.

If you’ve not been keeping track, Bettany’s android Avenger was killed by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, but returned in 2021’s WandaVision as a version manifested by Wanda Maximoff in her grief over his death. However, the series also saw his original body reassembled and reactivated – sans memories and emotions – in White Vision form, and ended with him fleeing after a confrontation with the ‘Hex’ Vision.

While plot details for the Vision series are being kept under wraps, it is believed that it will follow this version of the Vision as he tries to regain his memories and humanity. Star Trek: Picard’s Terry Matalas is serving as showrunner on the project, which has been tapped for a 2026 premiere on Disney+.
