Fast 8 cast continues to swell as Scott Eastwood joins line-up

April 11, 2016 by Scott J. Davis

Deadline is reporting that Scott Eastwood (Suicide Squad) is the latest actor to join the ranks of the upcoming eighth entry in the Fast & Furious franchise.

Eastwood is the third new recruit to the film in the last week, with Charlize Theron officially joining after months of rumours, and Game of Thrones star Kristofer Hivju also signing on to play a henchman.

With Suicide Squad set for release in August as well as his high-profile roles in The Longest Ride and Oliver Stone’s upcoming Snowden, Eastwood’s star is certainly on the rise. In Fast 8, he will play the new protege of Mr. Nobody, played in Fast & Furious 7 by Kurt Russell (The Hateful Eight).

F. Gary Gray (Straight Outta Compton) directs the new entry, which sees the return of Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Elsa Pataky, Lucas Black, Kurt Russell and Jason Statham.

Fast 8 is set for release on April 14th, 2017.
