Fifth edition of classic tabletop RPG Vampire: The Masquerade launched at GenCon 2018

August 4, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Tabletop RPG publisher White Wolf Entertainment has announced the release of the fifth edition of their iconic vampire tabletop RPG Vampire: The Masquerade Fifth Edition.  This latest edition of the beloved reoleplaying game takes the supernatural into the 21st century.

Vampire: The Masquerade Fifth Edition challenges players to accept the inner demon and exploit the weaknesses inherent in society in pursuit of their own nefarious pursuit of power….. not to mention to satiate their thirst for blood.  The Fifth Edition will feature a modern rules set, beautiful full colour art and a rich story that will appeal to new and returning fans.

This edition of the game consists of three main full color hardback books: the V5 corebook, the Anarch and Camarilla sourcebooks (with the latter two coming in November) along with dice set, story teller screen and notebook.  There’s also a collector’s edition of the corebook as well as a limited print luxury leatherbound Methuselah Bundle on its way.

“With the launch of V5, today marks an incredible milestone in the history of Vampire: The Masquerade,” said White Wolf CEO Tobias Sjögren. “The fifth edition of Vampire is the culmination of 30 years of creative efforts by White Wolf, its partners, and of course, the passionate global community of players and fans. It’s an experience we expect longtime fans will find engaging, while similarly bringing newcomers into the World of Darkness.”

Vampire: The Masquerade Fifth Edition can be ordered from here.
