First trailer for Ms. Marvel showcases the MCU’s new teen hero

March 15, 2022 by EJ Moreno

The future is in the hands of Ms. Marvel, but is she ready for it? That’s what the new trailer for the upcoming Disney+ teases and poses the question of what happens when a young girl gets the powers of an MCU great.

The humor-filled and stylish new trailer for Ms. Marvel showcases Iman Vellani in the lead role as Kamala Khan. She’s a teen girl who has everyone around her saying she spends too much time in “fantasy land,” but that soon pays off when she lands a unique new skill-set and superpowers.

Scored by The Weeknd’s Blinding Lights, the trailer feels fresh and different compared to other Marvel and Disney+ projects. Ms. Marvel feels younger and more vibrant than the moody Moon Knight, which is set to premiere at the end of March. Will Kamala Khan’s Ms. Marvel find her place amongst not only the MCU heroes but the fanbase as a whole? Only time will tell.

Check out the trailer here…

Ms. Marvel sees Iman Vellani starring alongside Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Naki, Azher Usman, Travina Springer, Nimra Bucha, Laurel Marsden and Anjali Bhimani.. Bisha K. Ali is set as co-writer and showrunner, with Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, Adil El Arbi, Billal Fallah, and Meera Menon directing.

Ms. Marvel, an Original series from Marvel Studios, starts streaming on June 8th on Disney+.
