First trailer for The Day of the Jackal starring Eddie Redmayne and Lashana Lynch

During the opening ceremony for the 2024 Paris Olympics, Peacock and Sky shared the first trailer from the upcoming adaptation Frederick Forsyth’s 1971 classic novel The Day of the Jackal.

The thriller series follows a ruthless assassin known as the Jackal (Eddie Redmayne), a he meets his match when a British intelligence officer (Lashana Lynch) tracks him down as he attempts to take down his latest high profile target. Watch the trailer below…

An unrivaled and highly elusive lone assassin, the Jackal, (Eddie Redmayne) makes his living carrying out hits for the highest fee. But following his latest kill, he meets his match in a tenacious British intelligence officer (Lashana Lynch) who starts to track down the Jackal in a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe, leaving destruction in its wake.

Joining Redmayne and Lynch in the cast are Úrsula Corberó, Charles Dance, Richard Dormer, Chukwudi Iwuji, Lia Williams, Khalid Abdalla, Eleanor Matsuura, Jonjo O’Neill, Nick Blood, Sule Rimi, and Florisa Kamara.

The Day of the Jackal premieres on Peacock and Sky on November 7th.
