The new series of Twin Peaks may still be a good few months away with the first episode of Season One (technically Season Three) expected to land sometime in 2017 on Showtime (or Sky Atlantic in the UK). but screaming around Twitter at this very moment is the full cast list shared by Jarett Wieselman (from BuzzFeed News) and there are some surprising names in it!
As expected we see Kyle MacLachlan, Michael Horse and Sherilyn Fenn but it’s also fantastic to see the return of David Duchovny, who long-time fans of Twin Peaks will remember he played crossdressing DEA Agent Dennis/Denise Bryson. The surprises in the cast list include names like Eddie Vedder, Tim Roth, Trent Reznor along with his singer/songwriting partner Mariqueen Maandig. We all knew that the likes of Ashley Judd and Amanda Seyfried where appearing but to see Michael Cera’s name appearing too makes you see that David Lynch is making this cast list eclectic indeed.
