Gearbox teases Borderlands 3 announcement at PAX East

March 12, 2019 by Liam Waddington

Gearbox Software is seemingly teasing the announcement of its next game, the highly anticipated Borderlands 3, for PAX East.

Today, the developer released an image of a sign teasing a reveal on March 28th in Boston, Massachusetts – the date and location of Gearbox’s PAX East panel. The sign also shows a slightly cut off “Exit 3” notice.

The speculation that this is an upcoming Borderlands announcement is presumably down to the image bearing the distinct cel-shaded art style the Borderlands franchise is known for. Additionally, the sign appears to be located on the planet Pandora, the main desert location for the series.

However, it is possible this is Gearbox misleading the audience and could be the heavily rumoured Borderlands Remaster.

We’ll know shortly what Gearbox are revealing when PAX East runs from March 28th until March 31st.
