Gen V’s Asa Germann joins Scream 7

December 6, 2024 by Ricky Church

Ghostface has found a new potential victim. According to Deadline, Asa Germann, who stars in Amazon Prime’s The Boys spin-off Gen V, is the latest actor to join Scream 7.

Neve Campbell and Courtney Cox will return as Sidney Prescott and Gale Weathers. This is after Campbell turned down the opportunity to reprise her iconic role for Scream VI after feeling the offer she was given was not enough to warrant her return as the franchise’s leading star. Also in talks to return from the early films is Patrick Dempsey, who was last seen in Scream 3 as Detective Mark Kincaid and, if his reprisal is finalized, will be Sidney’s husband in the feature.

Germann will be joining fellow newcomers Isabel May (1883), who will play Sindey’s daughter, and Celeste O’Connor (Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire) and an undisclosed role.

Kevin Williamson will direct Scream 7 from a script by Guy Busick. Williamson is best known for penning most of the Scream films, which he helmed build alongside the iconic filmmaker Wes Craven. James Vanderbilt, William Sherak, and Paul Neinstein will produce for Project X Entertainment.

Scream 7 will be released in theaters worldwide via Paramount Pictures on February 27, 2026.
