Giancarlo Esposito joins Cinemax’s Jett

June 21, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul star Giancarlo Esposito has signed on to star alongside Carla Gugino (Gerald’s Game) in the upcoming drama series Jett, which has received a straight-to-series order from Cinemax.

The series, penned by Sebastian Gutierrez (Gothika), follows world-class thief Daisy ”Jett” Kowalski (Gugino), who is forced back into doing what she does best by dangerous and eccentric criminals determined to exploit her skills for their own ends. Deadline reports that Esposito is set to portray the character of Baudelaire, a powerful crime lord.

In addition to Gugino and Esposito, Jett will star Elena Anaya (Wonder Woman), Michael Aronov (The Americans), Gaite Jansen (Peaky Blinders), Chris Backus (Big Little Lies), Gil Bellows (Ally McBeal) and Violet McGraw (Ready Player One) as series regulars, with Jodie Turner-Smith (True Blood), Gentry White (The Shannara Chronicles) , Lucy Walters (Power) and Mustafa Shakir (Luke Cage) as recurring guest stars.

Esposito will reprise his role as Gus Fring in the fourth season of the Breaking Bad spinoff Better Call Saul, and has recently wrapped production on the feature film The Gift alongside Patrick Stewart and Katie Holmes.
