Gina Rodriguez and David Thewlis join Netflix’s Big Mouth

May 26, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Netflix has announced that Gina Rodriguez (Jane the Virgin) and David Thewlis (Wonder Woman) have joined the cast of its adult animated series Big Mouth.

Rodriguez is set to lend her voice to Gina, “a girl on Missy (Jenny Slate) and Jessi’s (Jessi Klein) soccer team who shakes up the social dynamics of the school — which is bound to bring some drama to the fold.”

Thewlis meanwhile will play The Shame Wizard, “the Hormone Monster’s (Nick Kroll) mortal enemy who haunts the kids, stoking their deepest shame.”

Big Mouth is created by Kroll and Andrew Goldberg and follows two seventh graders as they navigate puberty. The first season is available now on Netflix, with a second season set to arrive later this year.
