Gone Baby Gone pilot casts Joseph Morgan as its lead

February 28, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Earlier this month it was announced that Fox has given the green light to a pilot for a new TV adaptation of Dennis Lehane’s novel Gone Baby Gone, and now we have our first piece of casting news.

Variety is reporting that Joseph Morgan (The Vampire Diaries, The Originals) has signed on to play Patrick Kenzie, one of two private detectives who are “armed with their wits, their street knowledge and an undeniable chemistry as they work to right the wrongs the law can’t in the working-class Boston borough of Dorchester.”

The character of Kenzie was played by Casey Affleck in the 2007 feature film adaptation, which marked the directorial debut of Ben Affleck and also starred Michelle Monaghan as Gennaro.

The pilot for the as-yet-untitled series has been penned by Robert Levine, who will also executive produce alongside author Lehane.
