January 5, 2022 by EJ Moreno

Any DC Comics fan will tell you that Guillermo del Toro’s Justice League Dark was near the top of their wish list and it seems like the project is still on del Toro’s mind since he just opened up about it during a recent interview.

In Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast, the filmmaker teased where he was pulling inspiration from for Justice League Dark. Not surprisingly, it sounds perfect.

“I took a little bit of the opening of the Alan Moore Constantine. And I took the dynamics between Abby [Arcane] and Swamp Thing. So trying to mix that with Klarion the Witch Boy…”

Sadly, this project will likely never come out, but at least DC fans can get a taste of what Guillermo del Toro had in store for them. The filmmaker is fresh off his dark new film Nightmare Alley [read our review here] and is currently in post-production for an upcoming Pinocchio adaptation.
