Henry Cavill talks whether Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be better than The Avengers

January 12, 2015 by admin

DC vs. Marvel. It’s a war that hasn’t been this hot in decades as the two comic book titans bring their big name characters to silver screen in their expanded universes. In the next few months, Marvel will be moving to Phase Three with Avengers: Age of Ultron bringing a close to Phase Two, while DC will launch their cinematic universe with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice next year.

And while fans rage on as to which one they think is better, Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star Henry Cavill has his own opinion. At a BAFTA party in Los Angeles over the weekend (where he also denied the rumours that the movie will be two films), Cavill was asked whether Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice would be better than Marvel’s The Avengers.

“You’ll see”, he smirked.

He also responded to rumours that Ben Affleck injured him while on set by saying, “are you kidding me? I’m the Man of Steel!”

Thanks to Variety’s Ramin Setoodeh (via CBM).

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice sees Zack Snyder directing a cast that includes returning Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill (Superman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White) and Harry Lennix (General Swanwick) alongside Ben Affleck (Argo) as Batman, Gal Gadot (Fast & Furious 6) as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones) as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jesse Eisenberg (Now You See Me) as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons (The Borgias) as Alfred Pennyworth and Jena Malone (Sucker Punch), Holly Hunter (The Piano), Callan Mulvey (300: Rise of an Empire), Tao Okamoto (The Wolverine) and Scoot McNairy (Argo) in as-yet-unrevealed roles.
