Hot Toys has revealed the official promotional images and details for its new Chewbacca with Disassembled C-3PO figure which is inspired by the likeness of the Wookie and the protocol droid in Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back. A legendary Wookiee warrior and Han Solo’s longtime co-pilot, Chewbacca continues to serve as faithful first mate to carry out daring missions behind the controls of the Millennium Falcon. Known as Chewie to his closest friends, he was part of a core group of rebels who restored freedom to the galaxy during the reign of the Galactic Empire. Known for his short temper and accuracy with a bowcaster, Chewie also has a big heart and unwavering loyalty to his friends.
The exquisitely crafted Chewbacca collectible figure features a newly developed sculpt styled in wool hair with articulated jaw, multiple layers of fabric hair with various shades of brown throughout his whole body, a distressed brown bandolier, a blaster, a bowcaster, handcuffs and a display stand. In addition, this collectible figure includes a disassembled C-3PO with body parts finished in chrome application. A net is also included for fans to recreate where Chewbacca carries C-3PO on his back in the movie.
