Exclusive Interview – Tom Bateman, Liana Liberato, and Michael Costigan dish on new season of Based On A True Story

November 20, 2024 by EJ Moreno

EJ Moreno chats with the cast & producer of Based On A True Story…

Based On A True Story is back for another season, and the Peacock Original is just as deadly as ever. Liana Liberato and Tom Batman, the actors behind the must-see twisted romance of Tory and Matt, are joining us this week for an interview. The pair gush about shooting the shocking material and building their on-screen chemistry.

We also spoke to Executive Producer Michael Costigan, who explained what it takes to head into a series’s second season from a creative and business standpoint and which character he loves to see cut loose.

Check out the full video interview below, and be sure to follow us on YouTube for more reviews, exclusive interviews, and other video content…

Season two finds new parents Ava and Nathan Bartlett three months into parenthood. Focused on taking care of her family, Ava is determined to resist her true crime obsession and return to work as a real estate agent while Nathan trains private tennis clients. But a series of new murders pulls her back in – is Matt behind the slayings? Is Tory, now entangled in a relationship with Matt, in danger? For a while, life is good — Ava’s TikTok habit and her new friend Drew provide a welcome distraction, and Nathan’s all in on reigniting his tennis career as well as his friendship with Matt — until danger comes knocking, literally.

Based on a True Story season 2 premieres on Peacock on November 21st.
