Interview with the Vampire and Mayfair Witches crossover in the works

January 11, 2023 by Ricky Church

It has only aired one episode, but AMC is already planning a crossover between Mayfair Witches and its other Anne Rice adaptation Interview with the Vampire, including a Vampire character set to appear in Mayfair Witches.

During the TCA, Interview with theVampire and Mayfair Witches executive producer Mark Johnson said there are “ongoing conversations” regarding a crossover and audiences will see plenty of Easter eggs to tie both shows together.

“You’ll see a lot of connections, both in terms of characters in terms of geography… I guess almost like Easter eggs. We very much want to tie the worlds together in a way that makes sense. Of course, they’re completely separate on the one hand, but thematically and in terms of how Anne Rice deals with character, we want to find a way to have that flow throughout the various shows.”

Mayfair Witches showrunner Esta Spalding also revealed there will be one character from Interview with the Vampire who will appear in the new series that “connects in a strange way.”

“Mayfair Witches is an exploration of female power and the mortal implications of our decisions. Mayfair Witches focuses on an intuitive young neurosurgeon (Alexandra Daddario) who discovers that she is the unlikely heir to a family of witches. As she grapples with her newfound powers, she must contend with a sinister presence that has haunted her family for generations.”

Mayfair Witches features a cast that includes Alexandra Daddario (The White Lotus), Harry Hamlin (Mad Men), Jack Huston (Fargo), Annabeth Gish (Midnight Mass), Tongayi Chirisa (Another Life), Beth Grant (Dollface), Erica Gimpel (God Friended Me), and Jen Richards (Her Story).
