Iron Spider suit in Infinity War, Han Solo casting, Gotham City Sirens update and more – Daily News Roundup

July 28, 2017 by admin

IRON SPIDER

One of the nice Easter Eggs from Spider-Man: Homecoming was the reveal of the Iron Spider suit, which was offered to Peter Parker by Iron Man at the end of the movie. As we now know from the Avengers: Infinity War footage, he will be donning the new costume when Earth’s Mightiest Heroes do battle against Thanos next year and you can see a close-up look at it right here.

NO ARMOUR?

If you managed to see the Avengers: Infinity War footage before it was taken down, you will have noticed that Thanos won’t be sporting his comic book armour in the superhero epic, and co-director Joe Russo has explained why. “”[Thanos] has a more casual approach in this film, and it’s very philosophical for him. It’s part of his character definition. It’s a spiritual journey for him to collect the Stones, and one with which he doesn’t need armor. Once he starts acquiring the Stones, he doesn’t need armor in the same way he did when he was a war lord. It’s a very symbolic costume.” Read more here.

WITCH X VISION

It was teased in both Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War, and the relationship between Scarlet Witch and Vision will be explored in Avengers: Infinity War. “In any other world I would say, ‘I don’t know,’ but because there are paparazzi photos that kind of spoil things for fans – I think it’s safe to say that we now get to explore that part of the comic book,” Elizabeth Olsen told We’ve Got This Covered. “We get to introduce and really explore their relationship. It creates a really exciting arc for me and I’m so lucky I get to work with (Paul) Bettany all the time now [laughs].” Read more here.

RETURN OF WARWICK

Classic Star Wars alumnus member Warwick Davis has been confirmed by Han Solo director Ron Howard to appear in the movie via Twitter. Read more here.

SIRENS

Although it wasn’t announced as part of DC’s slate of upcoming movies at San Diego Comic Con, Suicide Squad director David Ayer has teased that he is moving forward with its spin-off Gotham City Sirens via Twitter. Read more here.

THEY ALL FLOAT

Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema have released the creepy new trailer for It. Adapted from Stephen King’s novel, the film is directed by Andy Muschietti and will be released in just a few short weeks. Watch the trailer right here.
