Jake Gyllenhaal, Dylan O’Brien and Eiza Gonzalez in talks for Michael Bay’s Ambulance

November 16, 2020 by Gary Collinson

Last week it was reported that Michael Bay is set to direct a remake of the 2005 Danish psychological thriller Ambulance, and now THR is reporting that Jake Gyllenhaal (Spider-Man: Far From Home), Dylan O’Brien (American Assassin) and Eiza Gonzalez (Bloodshot) are in talks to star.

The contained thriller is described as “a three-hander that tells of two brothers who steal an ambulance that is already in a heightened state with a female paramedic and a patient who is in critical condition.”

Bay is said to is envisioning the project as a character-driven film, as opposed to his typical explosion-heavy fare. Gyllenhaal and O’Brien will take on the roles of the two brothers, with Gonzalez circling the role of the paramedic. However, THR stresses that talent deals are yet to be finalised.
