James Gunn posts first Superman: Legacy cast photo

February 22, 2024 by Matt Rodgers

Say hello to Eve, Mr. Terrific, Superman/Clark, Otis, Lex, Peter Safran, Jimmy, Metamorpho, Lois, Hawkgirl, James Gunn, Guy, and The Engineer in the first full-cast photo for James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy.

Ahead of production getting underway in Atlanta, the cast got together for a table-read as their comic book alter-egos, including Nicholas Hoult sporting his freshly shaven Lex Luthor haircut.

Joining Hoult in lining up with the newly assembled Kal-El collective were writer/director Gunn and his DC producing-partner David Safran, David Corenswet as Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern/Guy Gardner, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, and María Gabriela De Faría as The Engineer.

Superman: Legacy tells the story of Superman’s journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas. He is the embodiment of truth, justice, and the American way, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.

Superman: Legacy is scheduled to fly into theaters on July 11th, 2025.
