Jason Momoa says Aquaman is “on the edges of society” at the start of solo movie

December 13, 2017 by Samuel Brace

Aquaman actor Jason Momoa has spoken about the character’s frame of mind at the beginning of his solo movie.

Now that Justice League is out of the way, the future of the DCEU has become the focus, with much of it centring on characters like Jason Momoa’s Aquaman.

Aquman did feature in Justice League but the character also has his own solo movie on the way. In Justice League: The Art of the Film – an inside peek at how the DCEU movie was made – Momoa said the following (via Screen Rant) about what the character is going through at the start of the Aquaman movie:

“When we find Arthur, he’s hiding on the edges of society. He knows what his power is, but he doesn’t know how to channel it. He hasn’t accepted himself as king. He’s been running from both sides, human and Antlantean, and he’s been really that outlaw and renegade and the rebel.”

To see how the character handles this crisis of identity, stay tuned for more news on Aquaman’s solo movie.
