Joel Edgerton to lead A24’s Trigger Point series for Netflix

November 22, 2025 by Ricky Church

Netflix has bought and given a straight-to-series order for Trigger Point, an action thriller series from A24 which Joel Edgerton (Dark Matter) will lead.

Trigger Point follows “a group of former Tier One Special Forces operators who sell their elite skills to the criminal underworld behind the front of a private military contracting firm — and the FBI agent who’s hunting for them.”

Edgerton will star as Red, one of the former special forces operatives-turned-criminals. The series is described as an action drama and will run for eight episodes.

Trigger Point is created by Harrison Query (Heads of State) who will serve as showrunner and will be directed by Jeremy Saulnier (Rebel Ridge).

A24 has been developing the series for quite some time and recently opened it up to bids from various studios once Edgerton attached himself to the project. Netflix ultimately won the bidding war and will develop the series with Query and Saulnier executive producing.
