Jonathan Majors joins Marvel’s Ant-Man 3, reportedly as Kang the Conqueror

September 14, 2020 by EJ Moreno

Fresh off his turns in Da 5 Bloods and Lovecraft Country, Jonathan Majors is looking to make an even bigger splash in Hollywood. Deadline reports that Majors will soon join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, noting that will be a major role in the upcoming Ant-Man sequel.

While the studio has not commented on the matter, rumors are suggesting that he’ll take on the role of the super-villain Kang the Conqueror. Kang is a super-intelligent time-travelling entity, which fits the Ant-Man universe, and sources close to Deadline claim that he is likely to be one of the main villains in the next installment in the series.

Peyton Reed, who directed the first films, will return to helm Ant-Man 3, directing a script from Jeff Loveness. Marvel Studios’ head Kevin Feige will produce, while Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly will make their return, having last been seen in the huge battle that came at the end of Avengers: Endgame in 2019.
