Josh Brolin is the latest name to join Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery

June 3, 2024 by EJ Moreno

Daniel Craig’s Benoit Blanc will have quite a talented cast of potential victims for Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.

Rian Johnson’s upcoming mystery caper has been adding cast members since it was announced, and the latest to join is Josh Brolin. The Hollywood Reporter broke the story early Monday, stating the actor will join the all-star crew.

The cast includes Josh O’Connor (Challengers), Cailee Spaeny (Civil War), Andrew Scott (All Of Us Strangers), Kerry Washington (Scandal), the legendary Glenn Close, Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), and Mila Kunis.

It’s not like the actor needs much of an introduction, but Josh Brolin is Hollywood royalty with the famous father, James Brolin. In recent years, he’s notably starred as the Marvel villain Thanos in the Avengers movies, as well as the likes of Deadpool 2, Dune, and Sicario.

Johnson released an announcement teaser last week, narrated by Craig’s Blanc, stating it would be his most dangerous case yet so that we can expect, as was the case with Knives Out and its sequel Glass Onion, more twists and turns from its star-studded cast.

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery heads into production next month in the UK and will be released sometime in 2025.
