Netflix has released the trailer for The Altruists, their based-on-a-true-story limited-series which stars Julia Garner (Ozark) and Anthony Boyle (House of Guinness) as a couple who go from meet-cute to $8 billion dollar crypto-scandal.
Created by Graham Moore (The Imitation Game), who co-wrote and co-showruns the eight episode series alongside Jacqueline Hoyt (The Leftovers), The Altruists also stars Alex Lawther (Alien: Earth), Matt Rife (Rolling Loud: The Movie), Madison Hu (Bizaardvark), Jennifer Grey (Dirty Dancing), and Paul Reiser (Stranger Things). Take a look at the video below…
Young, idealistic and suddenly worth billions, they tried to do good — but unleashed the worst in each other. A toxic love story inspired by a real fraud.
The Altruists streams on Netflix from November 19th.
