Justified: City Primeval adds Aunjanue Ellis, Boyd Holbrook, Vivian Olyphant and more

May 7, 2022 by Ricky Church

FX has rounded out the cast for Raylan Givens’ return in the limited series Justified: City Primeval. Starring alongside the returning Timothy Olyphant will be Aunjanue Ellis (King Richard), Boyd Holbrook (Logan), Adelaide Clemens (Under The Banner of Heaven), Vondie Curtis-Hall (Daredevil), Marin Ireland (The Umbrella Academy), Norbert Leo Butz (Better Nate Than Never), Victor Williams (The Affair) and Olyphant’s daughter Vivian Olyphant.

The eight stars are set as series leads alongside Olyphant. Holbrook will portray Clement Mansell, aka The Oklahoma Wildman, the new antagonist Olyphant’s Raylan Givens will hunt down while Vivian Olyphant will portray Willa Givens, Raylan’s 14 year old daughter.

Justified: City Primeval will be based on Elmore Leonard’s book City Primeval and follows “U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens’ (played by original series star Olyphant) story eight years after he’s left Kentucky and now is based in Miami, balancing life as a marshal and part-time father of 14-year-old Willa, who will be played by Olyphant’s real-life daughter Vivian. A chance encounter on a Florida highway sends him to Detroit and he crosses paths with Clement Mansell (Holbrook), aka The Oklahoma Wildman, a violent sociopath who’s already slipped through the fingers of Detroit’s finest once and wants to do so again.”

There aren’t any details provided for the other characters except their names as Ellis plays Carolyn, Clemens plays Sandy, Hall portrays Sweetie, Ireland is Maureen, Butz portrays Norbert and Williams plays Wendell.

Justified: City Primeval will be written and showrun by Dave Andron and Michael Dinner and original Justified creator Graham Yost. Dinner will direct the limited series while Olyphant will executive produce alongside Andron, Dinner and Yost.
