Kevin Feige has been having meetings about Marvel movies for 2024 and 2025

May 2, 2018 by Gary Collinson

While Marvel Studios has announced a series of release dates through to 2022, so far it is keeping its Phase Four plans tightly under wraps, with Kevin Feige revealing last month that we shouldn’t expect an announcement on the next slate of Marvel Cinematic Universe movies until after the release of Avengers 4 next year.

However, it seems that Marvel is already looking further ahead than that, with Feige telling the Associated Press that: “We’re always thinking ahead. Just when people think they can pin us down, we go somewhere else and that’s going to happen again after Infinity War in the build-up to the next Avengers film. And we had meetings earlier today about 2024 and 2025.”

By 2024, we’ll presumably be seeing the start of Phase Five of the MCU, at which point one would have to assume that the X-Men and Fantastic Four will be part of the universe -providing that the Fox acquisition goes through without a hitch of course. But, given that it is so far in the future, and we’ve very little idea as to what to expect from Phase Four, it seems pointless trying to speculate what movies Marvel may be planning to unleash six or seven years down the line.

In the meantime though, we do know that we have Ant-Man and the Wasp, Captain Marvel, Avengers 4, Spider-Man: Homecoming 2, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and – by all accounts – Black Panther 2 – to look forward to over the next few years, not to mention the big Phase Three announcement next summer.
