Kevin Williamson adapting Time After Time for ABC

September 20, 2015 by Gary Collinson

ABC has given a script commitment to Time After Time, an adaptation of the 1979 novel from Karl Alexander, which is being spearheaded by Kevin Williamson, screenwriter of Scream and creator of the likes of Dawson’s Creek, The Vampire Diaries and The Following.

Time After Time follows the legendary sci-fi author H.G. Wells as he pursues Jack the Ripper into the 20th Century San Francisco in order to bring him to justice after the notorious killer uses Wells’ Time Machine to flee Victorian London.

The book was adapted for the big screen in 1979, with Malcolm McDowell Wells and David Warner as Jack the Ripper.
