Kristen Bell confirms Veronica Mars revival at Hulu

September 23, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Last month it was announced that a Veronica Mars revival was being eyed by Hulu, and now actress Kristen Bell has confirmed that she will be reprising the role of the title character for the new eight-episode season.

Variety reports that the new season sees “spring breakers getting murdered in Neptune, thereby decimating the seaside town’s lifeblood tourist industry. After Mars Investigations is hired by the parents of one of the victims to find their son’s killer, Veronica is drawn into a mystery that pits the enclave’s wealthy elites, who would rather put an end to the month-long bacchanalia, against a working class that relies on the cash influx that comes with being the West Coast’s answer to Daytona Beach.”

Bell is set to executive produce the revival with original series creator Rob Thomas, who is also writing the first episode. The revival is slated to arrive on Hulu in 2019.
