Leonardo DiCaprio still doesn’t understand the ending of Inception

January 7, 2020 by Samuel Brace

The ending of Christopher Nolan’s Inception has puzzled fans since its release and star Leonardo DiCaprio still doesn’t understand it either.

Chistopher Nolan’s sci-fi favourite Inception was a big hit upon its release in 2010 and is still held up as one of the great modern sci-fi films to this day. The film’s ending is also a constant source of discussion, with many fans debating if DiCaprio’s character Cobb is still dreaming or awake at the end of the film.

What does Leo himself think about the ending? Well, he isn’t too sure either and apparently that’s been the case since he made the film. Speaking on WTF With Marc Maron podcast (via ComicBook.com), the actor shared his thoughts:

“I have no idea. You’re just focused on your character, man. When it came to Chris Nolan and his mind and how that was all pieced together, everyone was trying to constantly put that puzzle together.”

He then added: “It depends on the eye of the beholder, I guess.”

It looks like Nolan’s next effort, Tenet, is going to be of a similar ilk to Inception so hopefully, we have another sci-fi classic on the way. Perhaps we will understand this film’s ending more clearly.
