Liam Neeson and Neil Jordan reunite for The Riker’s Ghost

February 12, 2023 by Gary Collinson

As he gears up for the release of his 100th film Marlowe, Liam Neeson is showing no signs of slowing down with the Irish actor signing on to star in thriller The Riker’s Ghost.

The film will reunite Neeson with Marlowe director Neil Jordan and producer Alan Moloney of Parallel Film, along with Steve Richards of Endurance who has worked with Neeson on several titles include the box office hits Non-Stop and Unknown.

Scripted by The Crying Game helmer Jordan along with Sean O’Keefe (Spenser Confidential) and Brian Rudnick (Dungeons & Dragons), The Riker’s Ghost follows a convict set for release (Neeson) who is forced to break a terrorist out of prison, when his lawyer is kidnapped, as he is the only one who knows a way out.

“This is a unique take on the prison escape,” said Jordan. “A bare knuckle ride from incarceration to freedom, by someone who just wants to finish his term. The reluctant escapee will be played by Liam Neeson, and I can’t wait to explore this character with him.”

“I am thrilled to be joining forces again with Neil and Liam,” added Moloney. “We have put together an elite team to support Neil’s scripted and directorial vision. This one will have you on the edge of your seat.”
