Live-action Teen Titans series to feature Young Justice villain The Acolyte

September 12, 2017 by Gary Collinson

It looks like the Teen Titans will find themselves going up against a Young Justice villain in the upcoming live-action series Titans, with That Hashtag Show uncovering a casting call for the character of the Acolyte.

According to the casting call, the Acolyte will be the main villain of the series, and is looking to capture Raven and steal her powers. He will also be responsible for murdering her adoptive mother Angela.

The Acolyte made his comic book debut in 1999’s Young Justice #9 and appeared as a blue-skinned, horned demon. However, it was discovered that he was actually a human using prosthetics to disguise himself as a meta-human.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales star Brenton Thwaites will lead the cast of Titans as Dick Grayson, alongside Teagan Croft (The Osiris Child) as Raven, Anna Diop (24: Legacy) as Starfire, Alan Ritchson (Smallville) as Hawk, and Minka Kelly (Friday Night Lights) as Dove.
