Mads Mikkelsen says Hannibal is still looking for a new home

January 15, 2019 by Samuel Brace

Mads Mikkelsen, the star of Hannibal, says that there might be hope for the cancelled show yet as it is still looking for a new home.

NBC’s Hannibal might not have had the largest audience in the world but its passionate fan base and critical success have certainly made it a series of note. NBC chose to cancel the series after the critically acclaimed season three, however, back in 2015.

Showrunner Bryan Fuller had been looking for a new home for the series upon its cancellation but hadn’t had any luck. Star Mads Mikkelsen, however, has now thrown fans a bone, saying there is a chance season 4 could see the light of day.

Speaking to Bloody Disgusting, the actor said: “I think there’s always new hope. I haven’t heard anything specific. I know [show creator] Bryan Fuller is still working on some ideas where we can find a new home for this. I also have a strong feeling that everybody who was involved in it would gladly pick up the glove again if that happens”.

This news will certainly please fans of the show, who would love nothing more to see the story continue. Do you think it will happen? Let us know in the comments below or tweet us @FlickeringMyth.com
