May 11, 2024 by Ricky Church

After leading the fan-favourite Manifest, Melissa Roxburgh is returning to NBC to lead another new series for the network. She will star in the crime procedural The Hunting Party, where she and a team hunt down the most notorious criminals and killers across the country.

The Hunting Party was created by JJ Bailey and follows “a small team of investigators who are assembled to track down and capture the most dangerous killers our country has ever seen, all of whom have just escaped from a top-secret prison that’s not supposed to exist.”

Roxburgh will play Rebecca ‘Bex’ Henderson. Described as “shrewd, steadfast and obsessively curious, Bex is an ex-FBI agent recruited to an elite government task force due to her reputation as a savvy profiler who’s caught some of the world’s most dangerous serial killers.”

Bailey wrote the pilot episode. He and Jake Coburn will serves as co-showrunners, writers and executive producers for Universal Television.
